Cemented Carbide Brazed Tips
Cemented carbide brazed tips we manufactured are with high hardness, which can keep cutting capability when working under high temperature. It always has a thin metal blade or disk with a sharp, usually toothed edge, which can be used for cutting wood, metal or other hard material. Cemented carbide brazed tips are also used in surface processing of cast irons, colored metal and alloys, as well as nonmetal materials.
Cemented Carbide Brazed Tips
Cemented carbide is an extremely hard and durable metal that's used for everything from industrial applications to men's jewelry. A combination of the extremely hard metal tungsten and carbide mixed together with another metal binding agent, cemented carbide can a hardness of up to 9.5 on the Moh's scale (not very far below diamond, which is the hardest on the scale). cemented carbide is also chemically insert, and will not rust or react with other chemicals. Naturally a steel gray color and coming in a powdered form, cemented carbide can be molded and shaped through extreme heat and pressure into a variety of shapes and forms.
How to Sharpen cemented carbide brazed tips
Cemented carbide brazed tips are known for their resilience to dulling and high temperatures. To sharpen cemented carbide brazed tips, you must be careful to grind on the angles already established on the tool's edge.
1.Put on the safety glasses or face shield and the dust mask.
2.Install the diamond coated grinder wheel on the grinder. This process may vary according to the type of grinder you use. In general, the grinder wheel is held in place by a lock nut. Your grinder may or may not require a special tool to remove the lock nut. Place the new grinder wheel on the the post and tighten the lock nut in place to secure the wheel.
3.Turn on the grinder and allow it to reach full speed.
4.Hold the cemented carbide brazed tips in front of the spinning grinder wheel at the same angle as the original factory bevel with the tip pointing up.
5.Apply cemented carbide brazed tips to the grinder wheel. Maintain the same angle as discussed in the previous step. Turn the cemented carbide brazed tips over and repeat the process. Camber all angles and corners to achieve the best results. The number of passes required to sharpen the tool depends on the initial dullness and the condition of the grinder wheel used.
